I attended ISBI 2024 in Athens, where we presented the work "Estimating polyp size from a single colonoscopy image using a shape-from-shading model".

Our poster "Synthesizing fractional anisotropy maps from T1-weighted magnetic resonance images using a simplified generative adversarial network" was presented at SPIE Medical Imaging 2024.

I joined the OHBM Brain Art Special Interest Group as the website and communications manager

I gave an oral presentation about our work "Super-Resolution Reconstruction of Multi-Slice T2-W FLAIR MRI Improves Multiple Sclerosis Lesion Segmentation" at EMBC 2023 in Sydney.

I presented our digital poster "Comparison of diffusion kurtosis tensor imaging and multi-tissue CSD for the investigation of group differences in Alzheimer's disease" at ISMRM 2023 in Toronto.

Our paper "Investigating Tissue-Specific Abnormalities in Alzheimer's Disease with Multi-Shell Diffusion MRI" was accepted for publication in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease.
This was a work of several years that went through a couple of rejections in other journals. For example, NeuroImage said it was too clinical and NeuroImage: Clinical said it was too technical ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I started as a Postdoctoral researcher at imec-VisionLab in Antwerp, Belgium.

I defended my PhD thesis "Computational anatomy strategies for characterization of brain patterns associated with Alzheimer's disease" from my home in Bogotá, Colombia.
